President's Message - The South Bay Fly Fishers is a group of men and women who not only promote the sport of fly fishing but share a passion for the preservation of our wild fisheries around the globe. Our club supports like-minded organizations such as the California Department of Fish & Game, California Trout, Trout Unlimited, & the Federation of Fly Fishers, amongst others working for the conservation of our natural resources.

As a group we believe that fly fishing is the most sportsmen like method of fishing. A “Catch and Release” practice using only barbless hooks is the foundation of our methodology when it comes to fishing and promoting conservation. SBFF is helping to ensure that future generations will have the same opportunities to enjoy this time honored sport.

As SBFF President, I personally invite you to contact me with any questions you may have ... wayneb@waynebradshaw.com

  Sincerely - Wayne Bradshaw

Vice President's Message - I believe there exists a true camaraderie amongst all fly fishers. Whether in Alaska fishing for Sockeye, or in the High Sierra fishing for Trout, we are all there for the same reasons.  Being outdoors in a pristine wilderness with our family & good friends is what it’s all about … let alone the fishing!  I'm proud to be a member of a club that supports the conservation & preservation of our natural treasures, which makes all this possible!
As with many club members I joined SBFF to meet new friends, and to enrich old friendships. I can honestly say that this club has enabled me to do just that ... all the other stuff is just the icing!  Whether you are an experienced fly fisher or simply interested in learning about the sport, this club has something to offer!

As SBFF Vice President, I encourage you to visit one of our general meetings – we look forward to meeting you!

  Sincerely - Shawn Schreckengost

Steve Hollowell - Fishing

Steve started fly fishing seriously after joining SBFF in 1994.  Benefitting from the camaraderie and expertise of many club members he has since become a “tolerably good fly fisherman”.  He has held board positions as training and fishing chairman for 10+ years.  His favorite destination is the one that happens to be fishing best right now!  Steve also enjoys building & flying R/C model airplanes, remodeling his homes, & electric cars.

Jay Grandon - Treasurer

Jay has been fly fishing since 1980, but more consistently since 1993 when he joined the South Bay Fly Fishers.  His first board position in the club was that of Librarian.  His favorite destination is the Eastern Sierra, especially the San Joaquin River near Devil's Postpile.  Jay is also a photographer and home brewer, and likes camping in his teardrop trailer or in a tent almost anywhere.

MillerBob Miller - Publicity

Bob has been fly fishing for the past 37 years and a club member since 1990.  He has held board positions as President, Vice President, & Publicity.  Admittedly not having a “favorite” fishing destination, he does enjoy Christmas Island and Alaska's Kanetkok River as well as his new "second home", the Bitterroot River.  Bob also enjoys hiking & skiing with his wife Sylvia, and kids Ryland and Rebecca.
